At RoofsCalc, we understand that your home information and contact details are private. Unlike many industry competitors, we do not sell, rent, or lease your personal leads to third-party telemarketing firms or bulk lead aggregators.

Your information is only shared with the contractor you explicitly select, and only when you submit a contact request through our platform.

Information we collect

We collect information that allows us to provide accurate roofing estimates and connect you with local professionals when you choose:

  • Calculator inputs: ZIP code, roof size, pitch, material preferences, and tear-off needs.
  • Contact information: Name, email, and phone — only when you request an estimate report or contractor contact.
  • Optional photos: Images you choose to upload with your estimate session.
  • Usage data: Browser type, page interactions, and basic analytics to improve the product.

How we use your data

Service delivery

To generate precise roof replacement estimates using deterministic pricing formulas.

Communication

To send estimate results and deliver contact requests to your chosen contractor.

Information sharing

We share your information with third parties only in the following circumstances:

Data sharing is strictly limited to the specific contractor you choose to interact with. Sponsored contractors receive your estimate context as part of that request — not as a bulk lead purchase.
  • We do not resell homeowner leads to unrelated third parties.
  • We do not require contact information before showing an estimate.
  • We do not send SMS without explicit opt-in (not offered in v1).

Photos you upload stay associated with your estimate session. You can request deletion by contacting support. Do not upload images containing sensitive personal information beyond the roof project.

Terms of service

RoofsCalc provides planning estimates and optional contractor introductions. Estimates are not binding offers for services. Contractors listed as sponsored pay for visibility; sponsorship does not change estimate math. By using the calculator, you agree to use estimates for personal planning and to obtain licensed professional quotes before beginning work.
